1) For my painting of the had I did a sort of ombre effect. I just mixed the red with a bit of white then gradually started to put more in. for the photo transfer I put a gel medium on where I wanted my words to be. I put quite a few coats on.

2) I chose to do an ombre because my original idea was to do a solid pink background, but I thought that may have been a bit plain. The words I chose were character traits that I think are very important and ones I try and work on.

3) My original idea was to do a collage of quotes, but there was a problem with the printer with one quote that looked strange. I did a photo transfer because the collage would have covered my painting. I think the part of my project I am most pleased about is the gradation of my painting. If I could redo one part I think I might want to make the part where my fingers are more defined.
